  • Scarlet Lewis will talk about Choose Love. This is a K-12 program that also has a Home and Family, Coaches, Athletes and Community Involvement component. The Choose Love formula teaches the foundational concepts and skills of social and emotional learning (SEL), and is informed by current brain research and neuroscience. The goal of the Choose Love enrichment program is to provide children with the knowledge, attitude and skills they need to Choose Love in any situation.
DATE: November 5, 2019 TIME: 8:00am-11:00am LOCATION: Nashua High South/Auditorium
  • This training will provide the chance for those working with families to gain new insights and knowledge that can enable them to successfully engage family members and improve the outcomes for the individuals with serious emotional disorders and mental illness.

DATE: November 5, 2019 TIME: 8:00am-3:00pm LOCATION: Nashua High North/Lecture Hall
  • MNRI: Masgutova Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration, works with the primary reflexes of our bodies. Our reflexes tie in with both stress/trauma/anxiety, but also, they are related to other academic challenges as well (be it hyperactivity, dyslexia, autism, etc.). MNRI is becoming an extension program of Choose Love. Research has shown by integrating ten minutes of specific movements/day into the classroom, increases in academic performance, behavior, speech scores have resulted, along with less need for therapy and fewer at-risk students have resulted. Additionally, while this work certainly helps to prepare students for learning, overall any one of us would benefit from this, as it helps to bring balance to our nervous systems.
